Editorial Policy
Our editorial process is designed to make every guide useful, understandable, and honest about its limitations.
Our principles
Reader needs come first
We select topics because they solve a real purchasing or ownership problem. Commercial relationships do not decide what we cover or what we conclude.
We explain the “why”
A useful recommendation is more than a product name. We identify the criteria behind a decision, explain trade-offs, and show how priorities change for different readers.
We separate facts from judgment
Specifications, compatibility, warranty terms, and other factual claims are checked against manufacturer or authoritative documentation when available. Evaluations and recommendations are clearly presented as editorial judgment.
We avoid unsupported claims
We do not invent test results, customer quotations, certifications, or personal experiences. When direct testing has not been performed, our analysis is based on documented features, category research, and transparent comparison.
How a guide is produced
- Define the intended reader and use case.
- Research the product category and current feature set.
- Compare meaningful decision criteria and long-term ownership considerations.
- Draft a recommendation with clear benefits, limitations, and alternatives.
- Review for clarity, accuracy, and appropriate disclosure.
Updates and corrections
Products and markets change. We may revise articles to correct errors, improve clarity, replace discontinued options, or reflect meaningful category changes. If you notice an error, email [email protected].
Affiliate relationships
Affiliate commissions help support our publishing work. They never increase the price paid by the reader and do not guarantee positive coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
